Bruno Mars Shuts Down Taylor Swift Feud Rumors: ‘Only Love Over Here’

Bruno Mars is leaving no room for speculation regarding his relationship with Taylor Swift. After social media users suggested he had subtly shaded the pop icon, the “Silk Sonic” virtuoso took to X on Sunday (March 15) to provide a definitive clarification.
Addressing a viral post that featured a purported screenshot of Mars “liking” a video critical of Swift, the singer responded directly: “Taylor has always been supportive and kind to me.”
He doubled down on the sentiment, adding, “Only love over here.”
The controversy originated from a dubious screenshot showing a snippet of Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour with a derogatory caption labeling the 14-time Grammy winner “talentless.” The authenticity of the image remains unverified, and the account that allegedly captured the interaction has since been deactivated.
Mars and Swift continue to stand as the most formidable forces in contemporary music, frequently trading places at the summit of the charts. Mars recently clinched his 10th Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 with his latest hit, “I Just Might,” which has held the top spot for three consecutive weeks. This follows Swift’s monumental 10-week reign with her single, “The Fate of Ophelia.”
The timing of the clarification coincides with a massive professional milestone for Mars, who recently unveiled The Romantic, his first solo studio effort in a decade. The album arrived on Feb. 27 and immediately debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. His previous solo outing, 2016’s 24k Magic, peaked at No. 2.
Longtime fans may remember the last time Mars and Swift crossed paths in the digital sphere. During a brief 2015 social media disagreement between Swift and Nicki Minaj, Mars jokingly attempted to inject himself into the drama to lighten the mood. “Yo I want in on this twitter Beef!! VMAs is the new WWF!! @edsheeran F–k You!” he tweeted at the time, prompting a witty retort from Sheeran about their respective heights.
