Bruno Mars Asks Karol G to Dance With Me in New Music Video

Bruno Mars released a music video for his track “Dance With Me” featuring Karol G on Thursday (Oct. 1).

The video opens with Mars strumming an electric guitar while singing into a pay phone. Karol G appears on the other line in bed. Mars then travels to her location, serenading her from below a balcony with a full band. Karol G joins him outside, and the two embrace as fireworks explode overhead.

The release follows a social media post by Mars on Monday (Sept. 28). After a viral video showed Drake dancing with Karol G during a surprise appearance at her Houston concert, Mars posted a photo of himself looking out of a private jet window with the caption, “I have to get her back! I must get her back! I will get her back!”

The artists previously collaborated on the English-synth-pop ballad “Still” from Karol G’s sixth studio album, No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto. That track reached No. 41 on the Billboard Hot 100, and the album debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200. They also performed “Still” together live when Mars made a surprise appearance during Karol G’s Aug. 15 concert at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

“Dance With Me” is the closing track on Mars’ first solo album in nearly a decade, The Romantic. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and the song opened at No. 42 on the Billboard Hot 100.
