When country sensation Zach Bryan exchanged vows with Samantha Leonard just before the New Year, fans were quick to point out a striking resemblance between his new bride and his former partner, Barstool Sports personality Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia.
Breaking her silence during an episode of the Impaulsive podcast aired on Tuesday (Feb. 17), LaPaglia weighed in on the marriage and the “look-alike” comparisons. Speaking with host Logan Paul, the influencer didn’t hold back, labeling Bryan a “narcissist” and suggesting the pairing followed a predictable pattern. “This is exactly how they operate,” she stated.
“The entire wedding… the whole spectacle was a calculated jab at me,” she continued. “It is painfully transparent. His relationship with [Leonard] was staged specifically to get under my skin.”
LaPaglia also dismissed the theory that Leonard simply fits Bryan’s “type,” noting that his dating history suggests otherwise. “None of his exes before me looked anything like me,” she clarified.
The creator went on to describe the singer in harsh terms, calling him a “psychopath” and a “very frightening person.”
The couple’s rocky relationship lasted from 2023 through 2024. Since their parting, LaPaglia has made serious allegations of emotional abuse and claimed that Bryan’s team offered her a $12 million settlement to sign a non-disclosure agreement regarding their time together.
When Paul questioned whether she had second thoughts about turning down the life-changing sum, LaPaglia remained resolute. “I have no regrets,” she insisted. “I know there are skeptics, but if I wanted the money, I would have taken it. I refused to have that hanging over my head. Accepting it would have meant five more years of being monitored by his legal team until the payout was finalized. I wasn’t willing to trade my voice for a contract.”
Her comments come on the heels of Bryan’s latest commercial success; his new album, With Heaven on Top, recently clinched the top spot on the Billboard 200. The record features a mix of romantic tributes—widely believed to be about Leonard, whom he reportedly wed in Spain on New Year’s Eve—and pointed lyrics that appear to target LaPaglia.
In the song “Skin,” Bryan mentions “taking a blade” to old tattoos and “draining the blood” between himself and a former flame, which many believe refers to a specific tattoo LaPaglia has. The lyrics also question if the subject “loves people just to win” or speaks ill of their own friends.
