Boots Riley Signs Deal For New Film

Boots Riley has signed a script take care of Annapurna Pictures, The Wrap reports. The manufacturing firm was behind movies resembling If Beale Street Could Talk, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, Phantom Thread, and extra. This marks Riley’s second movie behind his directorial debut, final yr’s Sorry to Bother You. It starred Lakeith Stanfield, Tessa Thompson, Terry Crews, and others.

Riley not too long ago addressed the truth that Sorry to Bother You was not nominated for any awards on the 2019 Oscars. “The largest factor as to why we didn’t get nominated is that we didn’t actually run a campaign that aimed to get a nomination for Screenplay or Song,” he defined.
