Rapper and producer Boots Riley’s directorial debut Sorry To Bother You has released its first official trailer. Watch below. The sci-fi comedy stars Lakeith Stanfield (“Atlanta,” Get Out) as Cassius Green. He discovers a new trick to succeed at his telemarketing job, and finds himself in a “macabre universe” as a result. It also stars Tessa Thompson (“Westworld”), Armie Hammer (Call Me By Your Name), Terry Crews (“Brooklyn Nine-Nine”), and more. Beyond directing, Riley wrote Sorry to Bother You, which features a score from the Tune-Yards. The film hits theaters July 6.
The Tune-Yards recently released their new album, I Can Feel You Creep Into My Private Life. Meanwhile, “Atlanta” returned in March for its second season after an extended delay due in part to Donald Glover’s (Childish Gambino) filming schedule. He’s set to appear as Lando Calrissian in the upcoming film Solo: A Star Wars Story.
