Blogger Creates PS1-Style Horror Remake of Silent Hill F That Could Have Released 26 Years Ago

An enthusiast reimagined the new release in the style of classic titles

The horror game Silent Hill F was released recently. The creator behind the CoveiroDev YouTube channel noticed the title and decided to imagine what the game would look like if it had come out in 1999.

He gave himself one week and got to work. CoveiroDev used the Unity engine, modeled the protagonist Hinako in Blender, and prepared a set of animations.

For the enemy, he reused a copy of Hinako’s model — removing the legs, shredding the clothing, and giving it a pale, haunting face.

While tuning enemy behavior an unexpected glitch occurred: they began fighting each other instead of the heroine — the developer liked the result so much he created many copies, turning it into a chaotic brawl.

He also assembled a simple PlayStation‑1-style Silent Hill F location in Blender and added atmospheric fog:
