Fans of Warhammer’s fantasy setting who have been craving the exploits of Felix Jaeger and Gotrek Gurnisson will soon be able to acquire a limited edition of the book “Trollslayer,” complete with commemorative coins, coaster-style drink mats, art prints, and even a metal bookmark.
The world of Warhammer is home to countless heroes whose deeds have endured for generations — some even achieved divinity. Yet few rival Gotrek Gurnisson in sheer stubbornness, determination, and resilience. Forever accompanied by Felix Jaeger, he fought innumerable foes across Warhammer: The Old World and unfailingly emerged from battle with his axe at the ready.
When the world fell, Gotrek survived the cataclysm — emerging largely unscathed — and went on to new adventures in the Mortal Realms of Warhammer Age of Sigmar.
To honor his extraordinary and storied life, publisher Black Library has produced a new edition of William King’s “Trollslayer” — the inaugural novel about Gotrek and Felix.
The centerpiece of the set is the “Trollslayer” itself, issued in a clothbound hardcover adorned with a copper-foil pattern. The volume features colored page edges and a brown ribbon bookmark. Since a ribbon might suit Felix more, the edition also includes a metal, axe-shaped bookmark honoring Gotrek and matching the book’s design.
The collection also contains two coins: a round one inspired by the Empire’s currency and a decagonal piece reminiscent of dwarf treasuries. The set is rounded out by three art prints — a scene of Gotrek and Felix sharing tankards, a map of the Old World, and a wanted-style poster featuring their likenesses.
One striking addition is a set of four coaster-style beer mats with distinctive designs and non-slip bases. Two celebrate brews from the Old World — “Trollbrew” and “Tar Drop” — while the others depict the places where those drinks are enjoyed: the Sleeping Dragon tavern and the Brodag festival.
Pre-orders for the limited “Trollslayer” edition will open shortly. The run is finite and will not be restocked once sold out.
