Credo Holdings Co., Ltd., a Tokyo-based hospitality group led by CEO Koichi Shirai, officially opened Billboard Live TAIPEI on the seventh floor of ATT 4 FUN in Taipei’s Xinyi District on November 18, 2025. The venue’s inauguration featured headline performances by Mika Nakashima; all four sets across two shows sold out ahead of the opening.
The opening ceremony that same day brought together artist Mika Nakashima, Masato Kitaguchi—executive producer of Billboard Live TAIPEI—and Credo’s CEO, Koichi Shirai, for a commemorative ribbon-cutting.
As a token of celebration, Shirai presented Nakashima with a glass artwork named “Kaki” by Ruri Kobo. Shirai explained that the piece was chosen for its layered meaning: the Japanese word kaki (柿), meaning persimmon, echoes the homophone 嘉来—an auspicious phrase expressing a wish for future good fortune and harmony.
Nakashima opened her set barefoot, offering a reverent bow before greeting the crowd in Chinese—“大家好，我是中島美嘉 (Hello everyone, I’m Mika Nakashima!)”—to roaring approval. She began with her signature ballad “Hanataba” and moved through a selection of fan favorites, including “Sakura-iro Mau Koro,” “Glamorous Sky” and “Love is Ecstasy.”
Throughout the evening she engaged warmly with the audience, commenting on the dishes served at tables, chatting with fans in the front rows and exchanging high-fives—embracing the uniquely intimate atmosphere Billboard Live venues are known for.
“I can’t believe I was able to see Mika Nakashima this close—this was truly the best performance of my life. The food and drinks were excellent,” one attendee said.
Dining at Billboard Live TAIPEI is curated to match its musical program: Chef Yoshifumi Kishigami, a French-trained chef with 35 years of experience in Japanese hotel kitchens, oversees the menu, while beverage director Hsu Chen-Hsuan—winner of Taiwan’s Suntory Cocktail Competition—leads the cocktail program. Together they aim to deliver a seamless music-and-dining experience.
Billboard Live TAIPEI’s inaugural season will present a varied international lineup, with upcoming appearances by artists such as Nathan East, Vivian Hsu (Xu Ruo Xuan), Do As Infinity, Sunwoo Jung-a (鮮于貞娥), Joanna Wang (王若琳), Andrew Chen (陳勢安) and Eric Martin (Mr. Big), among others.
