By overwhelming demand, the nursery is getting a superstar upgrade. Commemorating the tenth anniversary of Beyoncé’s monumental chart-topper Lemonade, Rockabye Baby is set to unveil a gentle, child-friendly reimagining of the iconic visual album, as exclusively shared with Billboard.
Scheduled for release on April 10—just ahead of the original LP’s April 23 milestone—Lullaby Renditions of Beyoncé’s Lemonade marks a significant move for the brand. While most Rockabye Baby projects feature a selection of hits, this installment provides a comprehensive, track-by-track transformation of the Grammy-winning masterpiece. Expect the powerhouse vocals to be replaced by the tranquil chiming of bells and xylophones. This full-length treatment follows in the footsteps of previous tributes dedicated to Marvin Gaye’s What’s Going On and Lauryn Hill’s The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.
The label first hinted at the forthcoming collection on March 29, debuting an animated music video for “Hold Up.” While Beyoncé’s original cinematic clip famously featured a marigold-clad Queen Bey wielding a baseball bat against a backdrop of explosions, the lullaby version prioritizes serenity. The animation follows the brand’s signature teddy bear mascot as he wanders through a peaceful rain shower toward a lemon tree, eventually finding refuge in a cozy home to drift off to the soothing new melodies.
The aesthetic for the release draws direct inspiration from the 2016 original. The cover art depicts Teddy swaddled in a plush, oversized coat—reminiscent of the singer’s iconic fur—facing the listener in a charming homage to Beyoncé’s famous profile pose.
