Magic happens when two powerhouse vocalists share the spotlight. That was certainly the case on Thursday night (July 9), when Megan Moroney and Benson Boone delivered an unforgettable collaboration.
The country sensation delighted her audience at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn by inviting pop breakout star Benson Boone to the stage. Following a stirring rendition of her own hit, “Beautiful Things,” Moroney joked, “Why not hear ‘Beautiful Things’ twice in one night?” as she transitioned into a captivating duet of Boone’s viral smash of the same name, according to reports from People.
Clad in Moroney’s signature shade of pink, Boone harmonized effortlessly with the CMA Award winner. The chemistry was palpable as they traded verses, culminating in a powerful delivery of the lyrics: “And I thank God every day/ For the girl He sent my way.”
Boone’s “Beautiful Things” catapulted him into stardom in 2024, maintaining a presence on the Billboard Hot 100 for 89 weeks and peaking at No. 2. Meanwhile, Moroney’s own track of the same name, released last year, steadily gained momentum, reaching a No. 32 peak this past March.
Both artists are currently in the midst of high-profile tours. Moroney is promoting her chart-topping third album, Cloud 9, while Boone is traveling the country on his “Wanted Man” tour, which touched down in Pittsburgh earlier this week. With the Brooklyn performance behind them, Boone is set to headline the same venue for back-to-back shows this Friday and Saturday.
