Becca Hatch and Lewis Love are the newest acts selected for Spotify’s global emerging artist program, RADAR.

Hatch is an R&B artist of Kamilaroi and Samoan heritage, while Love is a country-leaning Australian singer-songwriter. They represent the latest talent from Australia and New Zealand to join the initiative.

The announcement arrived this week ahead of Hatch’s upcoming EP Black Flower via G.Y.R.O., set for release on Feb. 3, 2027, and Love’s upcoming album, which marks his first release through a new label deal with EMPIRE.

Hatch recently performed her original verse on “We Pray” alongside Coldplay across two sold-out concerts at Sydney’s Accor Stadium in 2024, and she won the 2024 NIMA Award for best breakthrough artist.

She subsequently received the APRA Professional Development Award in 2025. Her 2026 track Garden (Bang Goes the Drum) earned her an ARIA Award nomination for best soul / R&B, and she serves as an ambassador for Support Act’s Aus Music T-Shirt Day fundraising campaign, which returns on Nov. 26. A fourth track titled “Extra Time” has also been released from Black Flower.

Both musicians will receive cross-platform support over the next six months across Spotify editorial, marketing, and live events, including playlist cover placements, on-platform takeovers, and social and editorial promotions.

“So excited to be a RADAR artist!! I love making music about feminine strength, being free, and growing into yourself,” Hatch stated. “It feels so special to have Spotify supporting me on this journey with Black Flower.”

Previous RADAR alumni from the region include Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, Blusher, Genesis Owusu, Larissa Lambert, Baker Boy, and Royel Otis, all of whom earned nominations for this year’s ARIAs.

“I’m so grateful to Spotify for making me a RADAR artist,” Love stated. “I’m really excited for the whole world to hear what we’ve been working on.”

The artists were featured on billboard displays on Bourke Street in central Melbourne from Friday, Sept. 25 to Sunday, Sept. 27 to launch the campaign.

RADAR AUNZ launched globally in 2020 as a platform for local talent, driving more than 47 million discoveries according to the streaming service.

“Spotify partners with artists just as that heat is building, and we work deeply with the artist team to develop opportunities and fandom,” stated Leah Harris, artist and label partnerships lead at Spotify AUNZ. “Becca and Lewis are both on the edge of something big, and we want audiences here and globally to discover what we already know and love about them.”
