Beat-‘Em-Up Roguelike Absolum Gets Mystical Trials Mode With Adjustable Difficulty
Absolum continues to gain momentum. In its first week the game sold more than 200,000 copies and earned high marks from critics. Dotemu and Guard Crush Games thanked players for their support and announced they’re preparing a content update centered on a new Mystic Ordeals system.
The new trials will let players fine-tune difficulty settings. You’ll be able to adjust bosses’ and enemies’ health, their speed, aggression, and damage multipliers. There will also be options to tweak character parameters, though the teams have not disclosed the specifics yet. Developers emphasized this is only a small slice of upcoming changes and that they’ll reveal more about the future of the world of Talam and Absolum in the months ahead.
At the same time, the studios are working on hotfixes to address the most pressing issues. No release dates have been announced, but the team assures players the fixes will arrive soon.
Absolum is available on PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
