Beabadoobee Announces New Album Featuring Hayley Williams and Brendan Yates: Release Date Revealed

Beabadoobee is entering a bold new chapter. On Wednesday, June 24, the indie singer-songwriter officially unveiled her fourth studio album, Pylon, scheduled for release on September 18 via Dirty Hit and Interscope Records. To celebrate the announcement, she shared the record’s gritty, high-energy lead single, “Sun Has Set.”

Pylon boasts an impressive collection of collaborators. The project includes vocal contributions from Hayley Williams on “Nothing To Prove” and Turnstile’s Brendan Yates on “Powerlines.” The album also features guest spots from Evan Stephens Hall of Pinegrove, Chino Moreno of Deftones, and Shane Moran from Title Fight, with additional production polish provided by 1975 members Matty Healy and George Daniel.

The upcoming collection leans into a heavier, distortion-drenched aesthetic, perfectly captured by its title. Inspired by the towering steel structures that support high-voltage power lines, the name serves as a metaphor for the artist. As she noted in a press release, these structures symbolize the vital link between her life on the road and her roots at home during periods of intense isolation and travel.

Directed by her partner and frequent creative collaborator, Jake Erland, the music video for “Sun Has Set” mirrors the song’s abrasive guitar riffs and raw emotional honesty. “Many of these songs are built on things I wish I’d said,” Laus explained. “This track carries a sense of petty tunnel vision—it’s essentially a declaration of spite that I never had the chance to voice.”

In tandem with the album announcement, Beabadoobee has revealed The Powerlines Tour, her most ambitious trek to date, marking her first-ever run of arena shows. The tour kicks off on October 1 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut and will make stops at iconic venues, including New York’s Madison Square Garden and London’s O2 Arena.

Tickets for the fan presale become available June 30 at 10 a.m. local time, with the general public on-sale beginning July 2. Full details can be found on her official website.

This follows her critically acclaimed 2024 effort, This Is How Tomorrow Moves, which reached No. 34 on the Billboard 200 and secured the top spot on the Official U.K. Albums Chart, representing a career milestone for the 26-year-old musician.
