Battlefield 6 Season 2: Nightfall – Deployment Briefing
The shadows deepen as Battlefield 6 Season 2: Nightfall arrives in tandem with Game Update 1.2.2.0. This major expansion introduces a wealth of fresh content for both the core Battlefield 6 experience and the REDSEC ecosystem.
On March 17, at 09:00 UTC, players can begin downloading the patch to prepare for the new challenges. At 12:00 UTC, the Nightfall floodgates open, granting access to new maps, high-octane vehicles, specialized weaponry, and the latest REDSEC expansions.
Nightfall redefines the tactical landscape by integrating sophisticated darkness mechanics. Expect claustrophobic subterranean combat, enhanced traversal systems, and gameplay centered around visibility and stealth.

New Warzone: Hagental Base
Descend into the abyss of Hagental Base, a map engineered for brutal, close-quarters infantry engagements. Combatants must utilize structural destruction—blasting through reinforced walls or collapsing ceilings—to bypass chokepoints and ambush foes within the tunnel network. Success here demands tight squad coordination and mastery of class-specific utilities in a cloistered environment.
Limited-Time Combat Rotations
Nightfall introduces a dedicated playlist featuring Team Deathmatch, Squad Deathmatch, and Domination on Hagental Base. These encounters utilize the Darkness Modifier, plunging the facility into near-total obscurity. Survival hinges on the strategic use of Night Vision Goggles (NVGs) and environmental awareness.
- Gauntlet: Nightfall: A high-intensity variant of Gauntlet focused on elimination-style progression. Squads must navigate the lightless depths of Hagental Base, where flashlights and NVGs are the difference between victory and an unseen death.
- Red Bull Supermoto (REDSEC Event): Arriving later this season, this adrenaline-fueled Gauntlet experience centers on dirt bike mastery. Eight players face off in a three-round knockout tournament, with the final four racing for exclusive Red Bull-themed rewards.
Fort Lyndon Expansion: The Secret Complex
The battlefield at Fort Lyndon has evolved. Scavengers and soldiers can now access Defense Testing Complex 3, a clandestine chemical research facility hidden beneath the surface. This labyrinthine sector offers high-tier loot but requires squads to navigate treacherous tunnels where danger lurks in every shadow.
New Hardware & Logistics
- M1030-M1 and TM/O 450 Dirt Bikes: Agile two-seat transports designed for rapid flanking and high-speed extraction. These faction-specific bikes (NATO and PAX) provide unparalleled maneuverability across all theaters of war.
- CZ3A1 SMG: A devastating submachine gun with a blistering fire rate, optimized for clearing rooms and dominating close-range skirmishes.
- vz. 61: A compact, fully automatic sidearm that serves as a reliable last resort for lightning-fast reactions in confined spaces.
Battlefield 6 Free Access Period
From March 17 to March 24, the gates are open to everyone. Experience the verticality of Contaminated or the dark corridors of Hagental Base across six diverse game modes. Join the fray in REDSEC, assemble your squad, and capture your Only in Battlefield moments.
Update 1.2.2.0 Core Enhancements
