Greetings, everyone.
The launch of Season 3 has been nothing short of electric, and we’ve loved seeing so many of you diving back into Battlefield 6. Whether you’re locked in a firefight to defend the train on Railway to Golmud, dominating the streets of Manhattan, or climbing the ranks in competitive Battle Royale, your enthusiasm is what drives this game forward.
We’ve been closely monitoring your discussions regarding recent vehicle adjustments and Ranked matchmaking. Your feedback remains vital as we fine-tune the experience. Below, we’re diving into the new content and gameplay refinements arriving with the Blastpoint update on June 9.
Cairo Bazaar

Blastpoint brings us Cairo Bazaar, a reimagined tribute to the iconic Battlefield 3 map, Grand Bazaar.
While we’ve preserved the tight, infantry-focused DNA that made the original a fan favorite, this version has been rebuilt from the ground up for Battlefield 6. Expect expanded destruction mechanics, modernized combat zones, and fresh flanking opportunities. The map captures a vibrant yet war-torn Egyptian setting, designed to facilitate chaotic, high-intensity engagements. We’ve added new pathways and destructible cover to help squads break through choke points and execute surprise maneuvers. Whether you stick to the high-stakes central market or navigate the tactical outer streets, there are plenty of ways to control the flow of battle.
Keep an eye out for our deep-dive Developer Guide dropping next week, featuring insights from our team and a special guest from the original design crew.
Gameplay Enhancements
Refining Soldier Visibility
One of the most frequent requests we’ve received concerns combat readability—being able to spot enemies against dense foliage, in dark interiors, or across complex terrain. Our updated visibility filter ensures targets pop more clearly without sacrificing the game’s signature visual aesthetic. These changes result in better silhouette definition, improved color contrast, and more reliable target acquisition across all lighting conditions.

Vehicle Rebalancing
Blastpoint focuses on balancing the scales for both pilots and ground crews:
- Air Combat: We’ve adjusted the minimap camera for aircraft to provide better battlefield awareness. Attack Helicopters now feature a built-in “Radar System” by default, freeing up a slot for the new Thermal Optics upgrade, which allows gunners to easily track enemies through zoom.
- Ground Support: The Mobile Anti-Air vehicle receives two new secondary weapons: High-Velocity missiles for precision damage and Laser-Guided missiles for tracking nimble aerial targets. Additionally, RPG trajectory has been fine-tuned, and transport vehicles now feature a “crawl speed” for improved control.
Tactical Additions & Mortar Adjustments
Express yourself on the field with the new Spray Paint system, perfect for tagging objectives or celebrating a squad victory. Meanwhile, we are shifting the meta for the Portable Mortar. By lowering its health and preventing it from being equipped alongside Missile Intercept Systems, we’re encouraging a more aggressive “shoot-and-scoot” playstyle that rewards active movement over static camping.
Progression Updates
We’ve overhauled the progression curve to ensure you get your hands on better gear faster. Season 2 saw players unlocking Battle Pass rewards 2.5x faster than in Season 1, and with updated Hardware Mastery, you can now unlock primary weapon attachments 50% quicker.
REDSEC: The Battle Royale Evolution
Battle Royale Solos makes a triumphant return with a refined experience. We’ve removed MBTs and IFVs to ensure fair, head-to-head combat and reduced the player count to 80, with a faster ring speed to keep the adrenaline high. Solos and Duos will rotate on a weekly basis, starting with Solos on June 9.
We’re also introducing High Value Zones. These hotspots are marked on your map and contain premium loot for those brave enough to contest them. Combined with the introduction of the PP19 and the powerful Missile Strike Package—which requires manual guidance for maximum destruction—the mid-to-late game intensity in REDSEC is higher than ever.
Portal Updates
Starting June 9, you can host your own custom Railway to Golmud experiences, complete with full control over the train’s movement and capture points. Cairo Bazaar will also be available for verified experiences. We continue to be blown away by community creations, especially the deep economies of Lyndons Wake and the precision training in KK’s Firing Range.
The Road Ahead
Our commitment to Battlefield 6 is defined by your feedback. From the forums to our Discord, your voices are the foundation of these updates. We aren’t just building a game; we’re refining an ecosystem alongside our players.
See you on the battlefield.
