Barbie Rewind: A Digital Eclipse Collection of 16 Classic Games Housed in a Dreamhouse Decorator

Barbie Rewind Atari Digital Eclipse Collection

Digital Eclipse has solidified its reputation as the gold standard for retro game preservation. Following the success of acclaimed projects like the Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection, The Making of Karateka, and Atari 50, the studio is turning its archival expertise toward a new project: Barbie Rewind.

Arriving November 12 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC, Barbie Rewind invites players to curate their own virtual Dreamhouse. The experience centers on a massive collection of over 250 pieces of furniture and accessories inspired by decades of authentic Barbie playsets. Beyond the interior design elements, the package acts as a vault for 16 classic Barbie titles originally released between 1991 and 2007.

While the full game list is still under wraps, Atari and Digital Eclipse have confirmed that the collection will finally include the previously unreleased Sega Genesis and SNES title, Barbie: Vacation Adventure. Players can also expect to revisit fan-favorite titles such as Barbie Pet Rescue (Game Boy Color) and Barbie Horse Adventures: Blue Ribbon Race (Game Boy Advance). Gameplay is seamlessly integrated with an interactive hub where Barbie herself provides quests that reward players with experience points and fresh decor for their Dreamhouse.

“Players can choose from three distinct retro Dreamhouse aesthetics for the exterior, walls, and flooring, with full freedom to mix-and-match across every room,” the official description notes. “Iconic friends like Ken, Teresa, and Christie will stop by to request your design expertise, and there’s even a beautiful digital lookbook to help you track Barbie’s evolving history.”

For those looking to own a physical piece of nostalgia, a standard edition will be available for PlayStation 5 and Switch. A deluxe physical edition is also planned, featuring a numbered collector’s box, a poster, and an exclusive Barbie Rewind doll dressed in an Atari-branded t-shirt.
