Xbox Game Studios and Obsidian Entertainment took the stage at the New Game+ Showcase to unveil a host of updates for Avowed. The fantasy RPG is soon set to celebrate its first anniversary since launch.
The developers are introducing a substantial volume of new content, aiming to entice both returning players and newcomers preparing for their first journey through the game’s world.
A pivotal update includes a complete overhaul of the skill tree, enabling players to adopt entirely new tactical approaches in combat. Additionally, the character customization suite has been significantly expanded, offering a wider array of aesthetic options for the protagonist.
The presentation concluded with the official confirmation that Avowed is coming to the PS5. Pre-orders have already launched, and the title will debut on Sony’s console on the game’s anniversary — February 17, 2026.
