Avatar: Seven Havens Trailer Reveals Apocalyptic Future
Avatar Studios launched with Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender, which takes place 13 years after the original Avatar: The Last Airbender series. The studio follows that project with Avatar: Seven Havens. Set roughly 300 years after the original show in a post-apocalyptic world, the series features an Avatar who is deeply reviled. A new teaser for the series premieres on Paramount Plus in October.
Avatar: Seven Havens occurs 225 years after the events of the first sequel, The Legend of Korra. Avatars live far longer than normal humans, and the trailer features an older Korra with white-streaked hair unleashing fire and spirit energy on a city. A mural in the footage depicts Korra in the Avatar state as a demonic figure.
This situation creates trouble for the new Earthbender Avatar named Pavi, who is younger than Aang was at the start of his journey. Pavi lives in Ellora, a canyon metropolis protected from constant sandstorms and tornadoes. Children in the city grow up learning to hate the Avatar for causing the cataclysm. When an Airbender named Jae gets trapped under rocks during a sandstorm, Pavi reveals her identity as the Avatar by using both Earthbending and Airbending.

Rumors of the Avatar spread through Ellora while Jae tries to protect Pavi from hunters. The characters also confront the wrath of the spirit world. Pavi discovers she has a twin sister named Nisha, another Earthbender with a giant cat-monkey companion named Geet and Ruhi. They also encounter members of the Order of the White Lotus, the secret society dedicated to protecting and training the Avatar.
Series co-creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko told Polygon that Avatar: Seven Havens focuses heavily on mystery. The show has confirmation for two 13-episode seasons.

Avatar: Seven Havens begins streaming on Paramount Plus on Oct. 9.
