Assetto Corsa Rally gets Monte Carlo update with dynamic snow
The developers of Assetto Corsa Rally have delivered a significant update for their highly-rated title, which currently maintains an impressive 87% positive rating among Steam players.
This expansion introduces the inaugural special stages of the Rally Monte Carlo, painstakingly recreated using high-precision laser scanning. Sim racers can now explore over 30 kilometers of new, meticulously detailed terrain for free.
The improvements go far beyond just new environments. Version 0.3 debuts a sophisticated dynamic weather engine that includes real-time snowfall. Drivers might begin a run on bone-dry asphalt and conclude on a surface blanketed in snow—a seamless transition that many are calling a breakthrough for the rally simulation genre.
Furthermore, two new vehicles have joined the roster: the modern 2022 Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 (AWD) and the vintage 1970 Lancia Fulvia Coupé HF (FWD).
The update is rounded out with a variety of subtle refinements to both the audio engine and the vehicle physics.
