Usually in parallel with publication financial report Take-Two President Strauss Zelnick gives comments to some publication or speaks at some event, reflecting on current trends and tendencies in the industry. This is interesting to us because the views and opinions expressed shape the further development of not only the corporation, but also the products it produces. This means they influence the future of GTA.
At the Paley International Council Summit head T2 started talking on artificial intelligence, arguing that using AI to create dialogue can be “interesting and fun” since scripted lines are “generally not very entertaining.” It would seem like a sound idea… Unless you remember that literally at the end of this summer the copyright holder banned the distribution fashion for GTA 5which uses a model for building dialogues using artificial intelligence.
At the same time, Zelnik stated that GTA 6 “fully protected” from actors strikewhich, however, ended a couple of days after what was said.
Another resonant statement from the CEO was the reflection that games should cost more because of their length. Interpretations immediately appeared on the Internet, saying that in fact the president of the company wants to make an hourly payment for video games. But it was already in a hurry refutation: Zelnik “only” sees $70 as insufficient for a new AAA title. However, we all understand that such conversations today mean tomorrow’s decisions are not in favor of our wallets.
