Ariana Grande’s ‘Eternal Sunshine’ Earns Double Platinum Certification on Its Two-Year Anniversary

Two years since its debut, the brilliance of Ariana Grande’s Eternal Sunshine shows no signs of fading. To mark the second anniversary of the acclaimed project, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) announced a fresh wave of certifications on Sunday, March 8, cementing the album’s legacy in pop history.

Grande’s seventh studio masterpiece, which originally debuted atop the Billboard 200, has officially been certified double Platinum, signifying over 2 million equivalent units sold since its 2024 release. The album’s individual tracks also reached staggering new milestones. The house-infused lead single “Yes, And?” earned a double Platinum award, while the chart-dominating “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)” leaped to quadruple Platinum status.

The accolades didn’t stop with the hits. Deep cuts “Intro (End of the World)” and the fan-favorite “Supernatural” also received Platinum certifications from the RIAA during the Sunday update. This surge in sales follows the album’s initial Platinum certification back in September 2024, proving the project’s enduring commercial legs.

Celebrating with her audience, the Grammy-winning superstar shared a sentimental note on Instagram. “Happy two years of Eternal Sunshine. My favorite project yet,” she wrote. “Thank you for your love, I love you endlessly.”

Fans have more to look forward to this summer as Grande prepares for a limited run of tour dates. Beginning in June and running through August, she will perform in major hubs including London, New York City, and Los Angeles. However, the Wicked actress has hinted that this series of shows might be her final stage appearance for quite some time, referring to the trek as a “last hurrah.”

“I feel very privileged and grateful to learn that there can be room for different creative endeavors,” she explained during a recent conversation with Amy Poehler. “The last 10 or 15 years will look very different to the ones that are coming up. I’m very excited to do this small tour, but I think it might not happen again for a long, long, long time. So I’m going to give it my all.”
