Embark Studios is riding a wave of sustained success with ARC Raiders, as the title continues to solidify its reputation as a dominant force in the extraction shooter genre.
Recent metrics indicate that the project has successfully retained a significant portion of its Steam community. This loyalty is attributed not only to the game’s polished execution and compelling loop but also to its innovative matchmaking architecture.
According to data shared by Rhys Elliott, an analyst at Alinea Analytics, ARC Raiders surpassed 12 million units sold across all platforms (PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S) over the past weekend, generating more than $350 million in revenue.
Notably, Steam remains the game’s primary stronghold, accounting for 53.5% of its total audience. While its all-time concurrent player record stands at 481,966, daily active engagement spiked to a staggering 3.2 million users on January 4.
Industry analysts link this surge in activity to the holiday sales season, following a period where sales figures began to stabilize in early December. Embark Studios remains committed to the game’s evolution, recently launching a winter update that introduced a free battle pass and exclusive seasonal events.
