Another key writer left Rockstar Games

From personal page updates on Linkedin it became clear that Rockstar Games left one of the most important screenwriters (in the original position sounds like Vice President of Writing) Michael Unsworth (Michael Unsworth). The reasons for leaving are unknown.

Another key writer left Rockstar Games

Mr. Unsworth joined R* as a Senior Creative Writer in 2007, and was a Writing Director from 2019-2021 (maybe this has something to do with the departure of Dan Houser, head of storytelling). For 16 years of work in the company, he worked on the following projects of “rock stars”:

  • GTA Online – screenwriter
  • gta 5 — screenwriter (plot, dialogues, Internet),
  • GTA: Chinatown Wars — production,
  • GTA: The Ballad of Gay Tony — screenwriter (dialogues of pedestrians and the Internet),
  • GTA: The Lost and Damned — screenwriter (dialogues of pedestrians and the Internet),
  • GTA 4 – screenwriter (dialogues of pedestrians) and voice actor (voice in advertising),
  • Red Dead Online – Writer (Story)
  • Red Dead Redemption 2 – writer (plot and dialogue), voice actor,
  • Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare – Writer (story and dialogue)
  • Red Dead Redemption – writer (story and dialogue), production,
  • Max Payne 3 – writer (story and dialogue), also supervised voice acting,
  • LA Noire – screenwriter (dialogues)
  • Midnight Club: Los Angeles – writer (dialogues).

Of course, we do not know how much he was involved in the development GTA 6but it is worth noting that this is another resignation of a top employee for Rockstar (in 2016 – Leslie BenziesV 2019 – Dan HouserV 2020 – Lazlo).
