Anbernic has officially unveiled the specifications for the RG 477V handheld, which will be capable of running games from Android, Wii U, PS Vita, 3DS, PS2, Wii and many other platforms.

Rumors about the specs of the vertical Anbernic RG 477V handheld were accurate. The manufacturer released a promo trailer that details the device’s features.

The RG 477V is said to sport a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chipset paired with a Mali‑G615 MC6 GPU, run Android 14, and pack a 5500 mAh battery (up to about eight hours of use). It features a 4.7‑inch LTPS multi‑touch display with 1280×960 resolution and a peak 120 Hz refresh rate.

The system will offer 8–12 GB of RAM, 128–256 GB of built‑in storage, Wi‑Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, Hall‑effect analog sticks with a wide tilt range, TF card support up to 2 TB, premium stereo speakers, an integrated six‑axis gyroscope, a high‑speed cooling fan and an active cooling solution with a heat pipe.

Planned features include FOTA updates, online multiplayer, streaming, wireless screen casting and support for wired stereo headphones via a 3.5 mm jack. A separate suite of AI capabilities is emphasized: one‑click game guide search, real‑time translation, intelligent chat, text‑to‑image generation, image processing and other tools.

The RG 477V will be able to run titles from Android, Wii U, PS Vita, 3DS, PS2, Wii, NGC, PSP, DC, SS, PS1, NDS, N64, ARCADE, FBA, NEOGEO, GBA, GBC, GB, SFC, FC, MD, SMS, MSX, PCE, WSC and other platforms. It will be offered in black and retro gray color options.
