All Cooking Recipes and Skill Upgrades in Pokémon Pokopia

Comment Views: 6

To enhance your abilities in Pokémon Pokopia—such as expanding your Water Gun’s range or shattering tougher obstacles with Rock Smash—mastering the culinary arts is essential. Different recipes improve specific skills, so keeping a diverse menu on hand ensures you are always prepared for whatever challenge arises.

Every recipe requires a core ingredient, while additional components dictate the final product. Furthermore, crafting certain specialties may require enlisting Pokémon with unique talents.

Below is a comprehensive catalogue of the cooking recipes discovered so far in Pokémon Pokopia, along with the specific enhancements they provide.

Update (Aug. 6): This guide has been refreshed to incorporate the latest cooking formulas and refreshing smoothies introduced in the Bubbly Basin DLC.

How to unlock cooking in Pokémon Pokopia

First, you must complete the Withered Wasteland “Yawn up a Storm!” major request to gain entry to the Rocky Ridges region, located just past the northwest green gate.

Cooking becomes available shortly after arriving in Rocky Ridges, prior to the initiation of the “Time to Party!” story request. To kick off your culinary journey, you’ll need to encounter Chef Dente the Greedent. Once you repair the PC situated outside the Pokémon Center, a mysterious voice will echo from a nearby abandoned kitchen, drawing you toward Chef Dente. He will then guide you through several foundational recipes.

With the release of the Bubbly Basin DLC, players can also unlock smoothie preparation with Mudkip (detailed further down). While it remains unconfirmed whether Chef Dente’s initial unlocks are a mandatory prerequisite for Mudkip’s tutorials, every standard food category has received a fresh variant utilizing new expansion ingredients. These have been appropriately marked in the tables below.

Pokopia salad (Leafage upgrade) recipes

Consuming any salad strengthens your Leafage ability, enabling you to hold down the ZR button to instantly lush up larger terrain patches, cultivate moss on stones, sprout duckweed over water bodies, and weave vines along vertical walls.

Salads rely on leaves as their foundational ingredient and must be prepared using a cutting board.

Pokopia soup (Water Gun upgrade) recipes

Sipping any warm soup enhances your Water Gun power, allowing you to irrigate expansive zones by holding down the ZR button. Interestingly, soup-making is unlocked later in the adventure. Following the completion of the aforementioned “Time to Party!” quest, Chef Dente issues a follow-up task that teaches you the recipe. Additional triggers—such as advancing further into the fourth region—may also be required. However, if you stumble upon a cooking pot beforehand, you can experiment and brew soup independently even without triggering the quest.

Soup is built around a base of fresh water and must be simmered in a pot. Fresh water can occasionally be acquired from powered vending machines or purchased directly from the PC shop, though supplies are restricted to packs of five sets consisting of 10 bottles each.
