Alien: Isolation is again – as an expanded video collection made out of its cutscenes

Alien: Isolation is each a strong Alien game and notable addition to the collection’ lore. Now, 20th Century Fox is bringing that story to a broader viewers with a digital collection that serves as a “reimagining” of Isolation’s plot. Much of the element will seemingly be fairly comparable, although, because the collection is constructed out of the game’s cutscenes.

The digital collection launches tomorrow, February 28 at 9:00 PST / 12:00 EST / 17:00 GMT. The seven episodes will come all of sudden, bringing collectively the unique cutscenes whereas “adding in new story beats to bring the tale of Amanda Ripley to life in a whole new way.” It’s a wierd announcement, however nonetheless a extra welcome one than Alien: Blackout coming along as mobile game.

Perhaps most curious of all is the truth that this collection, regardless of apparently being an official Fox manufacturing, is coming solely to IGN. In an particularly unusual coincidence, the outlet offered a number of the game’s harshest criticism upon launch. IGN’s 5.9 is the bottom rating registered for the game on OpenCritic, although it’s not out of line with the sixes provided by another main publications.

Time heals all assessment scores, it appears.

You can get a style of the collection within the trailer above.
