Alien: Isolation 2 Will Feature Adaptive Xenomorph Tactics
Creative Assembly will make the xenomorph smarter in Alien: Isolation 2, enabling the creature to hunt across open areas. The game will also receive a physical edition that goes on sale next year.
Creative Assembly revealed new details about the horror title during a question-and-answer session. The alien will learn to adapt to player actions and change its tactics, meaning familiar escape methods will no longer work.
The main new feature will be hunting in open areas that can be up to ten times larger than the locations in the first installment. The xenomorph will also be able to use strong winds, heavy rain, and thunderstorms to mask its movements and track down its prey.
The game will feature a photo mode with settings for lighting, exposure, color saturation, depth of field, and focal length. The developers are also considering filters styled after the original Alien film, along with frames, stickers, and captions.
