At gamescom 2026, a prologue gameplay demonstration for Alien: Isolation 2 showed protagonist Blake exploring the wreckage of a crashed ship and hiding from the Alien.

Alien: Isolation 2 showed prologue gameplay at gamescom 2026, with the sequel largely retaining the mechanics of the first installment and once again forcing players to hide from the Alien.

In the demo, main character Blake explores the wreckage of a crashed spaceship while trying to find survivors and useful supplies. After encountering a destroyed synthetic, the young woman runs into a Xenomorph and attempts to sneak past it.

Just as before, players can distract the Alien using bottles and flare rockets. At the same time, they must move as quietly as possible because the monster hears footsteps and quickly begins pursuit.

The demonstration ends with Blake getting grabbed as a river current carries the ship away. Reports indicate that a settlement on the planet will also become drawn into the events, meaning the scale of the situation could prove much more serious than in the first game.

Creative Assembly has not yet announced a release date, although development has progressed noticeably since the game was announced in October 2024. Alien: Isolation 2 will release on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
