After Trains and Taxis — Buses: Polish Developer is Making Bus Simulator 27

Krakow-based developer Simteract, the creative force behind the popular Barcelona taxi simulator, has unveiled its next ambitious endeavor. With two notable simulation titles already under their belt, the Polish studio has successfully refined its craft and solidified its industry presence despite early technical hurdles.

Simteract has joined forces with renowned publisher astragon Entertainment to bring Bus Simulator 27 to life. This project stands as the studio’s most significant undertaking to date, with an official launch window currently targeted for 2026.

Bus Simulator 27 is set to deliver the franchise’s most expansive vehicle roster yet, featuring over 45 officially licensed buses from 13 premier manufacturers, including industry leaders like Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Scania, MAN, IVECO BUS, and Solaris Bus & Coach.

The simulation unfolds within the fictional landscapes of Felicia Bay, a sprawling region encompassing two major cities and 20 diverse districts. Players will be tasked with more than just driving, as the game places a heavy emphasis on managing routes, staff, and overall company logistics, all rendered with the cutting-edge visual fidelity of Unreal Engine 5.

The title will launch with a variety of modes, including a narrative-driven campaign, a progressive career mode, and a free-form sandbox. Additionally, fans can look forward to four-player cooperative play, comprehensive modding support via mod.io on PC, and full compatibility with a wide range of professional racing wheels and gamepads.
