After a barrage of complaints, EA released an update for FC 26 — Patch 1.1.1 addressed key bugs
EA Sports FC 26 has been issued an urgent hotfix — version 1.1.1 — that addresses a number of problems introduced by the previous patch. Football Ultimate Team (FUT) was hit hardest, but the development team responded quickly.
The update focuses primarily on FUT stability, resolving a critical crash that caused abrupt quits and connection drops. Matchmaking and menu navigation are now working properly, and online matches run far more smoothly.
EA characterizes this release as a routine hotfix aimed at bug resolution rather than new content. The publisher confirmed the patch fixes several major issues that were disrupting gameplay.
Over the next few days, version 1.1.1 will also roll out to last-generation consoles — PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Developers say they will continue working on stability improvements to restore FC 26 to normal operation across all platforms.
