ZAYN’s ‘Die for Me’ Voted This Week’s Favorite New Music by Fans

ZAYN’s “Die for Me” Dominates This Week’s New Music Poll
ZAYN’s latest single, “Die for Me,” has emerged as the definitive fan favorite, securing the top spot in this week’s music poll. The R&B-inflected pop track resonated deeply with listeners, comfortably leading a competitive field of new releases.
In a poll launched on Friday (Feb. 6), fans were asked to vote for their favorite new release of the week. The former One Direction standout faced stiff competition from artists like J. Cole, Tame Impala, Jennie, and Nick Jonas. However, ZAYN’s supporters turned out in droves, granting “Die for Me” a staggering 80% of the total vote.
The success of “Die for Me” serves as the perfect prelude to ZAYN’s newly announced fifth studio album, Konnakol. Slated for release on April 17 via Mercury Records and Island Records U.K., the project follows closely on the heels of his 2024 album, Room Under the Stairs.
Speaking on the inspiration behind the title, ZAYN explained that while Konnakol traditionally refers to the art of vocal percussion, the term holds a more profound personal significance for him. “It is a sound that holds the reverberation of a time before words existed,” the singer stated. “I have always drawn on my heritage for inspiration… this album is a development of that understanding, knowing more now than ever who I am, where I come from, and where I intend to go.”
To celebrate the new era, ZAYN will embark on the Konnakol Tour, beginning May 12 in Manchester, England. The international trek is set to visit major arenas and stadiums across the United Kingdom, North America, Mexico, and South America.
