The final weekend of May is delivering an exceptional lineup of new music, featuring highly anticipated arrivals from superstars like Ariana Grande, Labrinth, and aespa.
Leading the charge is the Wicked star herself, Ariana Grande. Her latest single, “Hate That I Made You Love Me,” premiered this Friday (May 29), serving as the lead offering from her upcoming studio album, Petal. The track is a raw, introspective look at the discrepancy between her authentic self and the public’s perception—whether from critics or personal interests. It marks her first official release since the March arrival of Eternal Sunshine Deluxe: Brighter Days Ahead.
In the wake of his publicized departure from the Euphoria soundtrack, Labrinth has unveiled his latest sonic venture, Cosmic Opera Act II. Meanwhile, K-pop sensation aespa continues their momentum with the release of their second full-length album, Lemonade, building on the foundation set by their September EP, Rich Man.
This week’s release calendar is packed with even more variety. Fans can explore fresh projects from Latto, Violet Grohl, Los Enanitos Verdes, and K CAMP, alongside vibrant new tracks from Jungle, Little Big Town, and Kaitlin Butts. Collaborative efforts also shine, with What So Not and Alina Pash teaming up on “Everest,” while Skrillex, Randomer, Blawan, and MC Dricka unite on “Thistle.”
With such a diverse array of new records hitting the airwaves, we want to hear from you. Before the summer season officially kicks off in June, cast your vote below for the standout release of this final week of May.
