Not everything always goes according to plan.
Lessaria Fantasy Kingdom Sim recently launched on PC via Steam. The Majesty-inspired strategy pleased many players, but the release was not without problems.
The developers acknowledged the issues — they will be issuing patches:
To be honest, we’re disappointed the launch wasn’t as smooth as we had hoped. We never intended for the game to ship with bugs, balance issues, and inaccuracies. Lessaria has been our life — for the last 2.5 years we’ve gotten up every morning to work on this project. We kept pushing because thousands of players reached out with thanks and encouragement. Unfortunately, building a strategy game is extremely complex, especially an indirect-control RTS where not everything is in your hands. Achieving perfect balance immediately and catching every bug is difficult. Fatigue can also dull our perspective, sometimes quite a lot.[…] We fixed everything we found and implemented improvements based on requests, but once the game launched many more players arrived and discovered additional problems 🙂 You also provided a lot of valuable feedback about game design, control ergonomics, and the progression of Lessaria. We heard all of it.
Once the “most important” patches for Lessaria Fantasy Kingdom Sim are rolled out, the developers intend to release a free expansion that adds new content and improvements to the game.
