Phoenix Game Productions has opened the Steam page for Wasabi and released a new gameplay trailer for the first-person psychological horror thriller. The game is in development for PC.
Wasabi is set in Azumino City, Nagano Prefecture, during the 1990s. Players take the role of detective Ryuhei Kuroshima, who investigates a series of brutal murders connected to a mysterious cult.
The game focuses on collecting evidence, examining crime scenes and questioning suspects. The detective also uses a mysterious ability known as Wasabi, which helps him read expressions and psychological states during tense interrogations.
Phoenix Game Productions says the project combines detective work, supernatural horror and detailed environments created in Unreal Engine 5. The new trailer shows crime-scene exploration, suspect encounters and the atmosphere of a rural Japanese town caught in a violent case.
The Steam page is now live, giving players the first store-page look at the story, screenshots and gameplay structure of Wasabi.
