Fans of the Necromunda tabletop game will soon be able to pick up a plastic miniature set featuring Hanger‑ons such as the Ammo‑jack, Slopper, Dome Runner, Rogue Doc, and the new Hive Watcher.
The team behind Necromunda — set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe — has revealed a new kit that includes miniatures for five Hanger‑ons.
These represent a motley assortment of shady operators who ply their trades to earn coin and secure whatever protection a gang might offer.
Among the existing Hanger‑ons, the Ammo‑jack, Slopper, Dome Runner and Rogue Doc have been issued as plastic models. The release also introduces a new character — the Hive Watcher.
The Hive Watcher is available to any gang and knows every nook and cranny of Necromunda. Thanks to the “Eyes of the Hive” rule, this unit forces fighters who Infiltrate or arrive as Reinforcements to be placed within nine inches of the player’s gang.
The Slopper specializes in food preparation and increases Recovery for nearby allies. The Rogue Doc can stitch up bullet wounds and worse, though he’s not a miracle worker. Both characters have two head options and access to a med‑skull — a rare bit of gear that lets you roll an extra die and discard the lowest result on a Recovery test.
The Dome Runner is somewhat similar to the Hive Watcher in that he knows all the access points and secret tunnels of the Spire, but he tends to use that knowledge for daring, high‑risk operations — for example, breaking into guarded vaults and well‑concealed gang caches.
Updated rules for the Rogue Doc with a med‑skull and the Dome Runner, as well as new rules for the Hive Watcher, will appear in the forthcoming book “Necromunda: The Aranthian Succession – Spire of Primus”. Rules for the Slopper and Ammo‑jack can be found across various gang books — “House of…”, “Bastions of Law” and “Halls of the Ancients”.
