Vampire Survivors meets Rick and Morty in Ground Zero Hero
Ground Zero Hero is a new horde survival action roguelike that draws inspiration from the art styles of Rick and Morty and The Simpsons. Developed by Rowan Edmondson and published by Acclaim, the game challenges players to survive in a post-apocalyptic wasteland against massive hordes of mutants.
The developers have released a free Steam demo, giving players a first look at the Doomsday Desert area. In this demo, you can experiment with 14 out of the 19 total mutations, including unique “bonkers” forms that provide powerful ability upgrades. A key feature of the demo is that all progress carries over to the full version of the game.
Ground Zero Hero features a dynamic soundtrack and quirky gameplay elements like destroying piñatas for candy and unlocking absurd character transformations. The full release is scheduled for this summer on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch consoles.
