Ubisoft Promotes Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Director to Head of AI Implementation
Made-up checkbox positions where absolutely anyone can be hired.
Ubisoft is continuing to develop its artificial intelligence efforts as Raashii Sikka, the company’s former director of diversity, inclusion, accessibility, and social impact, has taken on a new role as Chief AI Enablement Officer.
According to Sikka, artificial intelligence will become one of the most important factors of change in the technology industry, culture, and society, while also impacting workflow organization. In her new position, she intends to help Ubisoft employees adapt to these changes and prepare for the further development of technology.
My goal is to ensure that the organization and our teams feel ready and confident in how to navigate these changes and anticipate further developments. For me, this is a truly important question: how to make sure that change works for the benefit of the people who have to go through it?

The appointment comes shortly after Ubisoft announced the expansion of its generative artificial intelligence initiative called Motherbrain. On October 7, the company informed employees that Motherbrain is becoming a separate team dedicated to turning generative AI into actual gameplay mechanics and features.
