UnitedMasters Honors BigXthaPlug at Pre-Grammy Event in Los Angeles

During a high-octane weekend leading up to the Grammy Awards, the artist services powerhouse UnitedMasters turned the spotlight on BigXthaPlug. The Texas-bred sensation was the man of the hour during the company’s third annual Celebration of Independent Music, held on Saturday, January 31, at the iconic Hollywood Palladium.
In front of a capacity crowd, UnitedMasters founder and CEO Steve Stoute joined the rapper on stage to present him with six distinct plaques commemorating his explosive career trajectory. The accolades included:
- RIAA Double Platinum certification for the album Take Care.
- RIAA Double Platinum status for the breakout hit “All The Way” featuring Bailey Zimmerman.
- A YouTube Gold Creator Award for surpassing 1 million subscribers.
- A career milestone plaque for I Hope You’re Happy, acknowledging over 1 billion total streams.
- A Spotify streaming plaque for “Mmhmm,” which has now eclipsed 500 million plays.
BigXthaPlug’s ascent has been marked by significant chart dominance. In September 2025, he secured his inaugural No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs chart with “All the Way.” The track’s parent project, I Hope You’re Happy, proved his cross-genre appeal by debuting within the top two slots on both the Top Rap Albums and Top Country Albums charts simultaneously.
The star-studded gala wasn’t just about the hardware; it featured a curated lineup of top-tier talent. The night opened with a performance by rising Jamaican star Armanii before BigXthaPlug took the stage to deliver a set of his signature hits. The evening reached its fever pitch with a closing performance by the legendary duo Clipse. Preparing for their upcoming 2026 Grammy performance, the tandem surprised the audience by bringing out Pharrell Williams for a special guest appearance.
Currently, Clipse is riding a wave of critical acclaim with five Grammy nominations for their comeback album, Let God Sort ‘Em Out. The project marks a triumphant return for the duo after a 15-year hiatus. In a recent discussion with Billboard, they delved into the inspiration behind their reunion and what the future holds for their storied partnership.
