Unicorn Overlord director announces DAWNGAZER for 2028

Takafumi Noma, director of Unicorn Overlord, is leading IGNISPHERE, a new fantasy project announced by Monochrome and Good Smile Company. Its first game, the action RPG DAWNGAZER, is planned for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and Steam in 2028.

IGNISPHERE is both the name of the fantasy property and the studio developing it. Monochrome is handling game development, while Good Smile Company will publish DAWNGAZER and develop merchandise around the setting.

A setting shared by games and novels

The announcement also includes several light-novel projects under KADOKAWA’s Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint. The companies intend to expand IGNISPHERE into other media as the setting develops.

Composer Yoshimi Kudo is working on the music. The announcement teaser features vocals by KOCHO and offers an early look at the world.

DAWNGAZER is set to support Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese.
