Ubisoft Plans to Downsize Trials Developer and Ubisoft Singapore
The company continues to trim its bloated workforce.
Ubisoft intends to close Finnish studio RedLynx, known for the Trials series, and cut about 70 employees at its Ubisoft Singapore subsidiary.
The company is evaluating its studios by analyzing their current projects and future prospects. Following a review of RedLynx, Ubisoft concluded that the division would not remain viable in the long term even after workforce reductions. Because the studio is not currently working on a new project, the publisher plans to propose its closure. Approximately 52 jobs will be put at risk.
No final decision has been made yet. In Finland, such plans must go through mandatory negotiations between the employer and employees if a company with at least 50 staff members intends to take measures affecting jobs.

For Ubisoft Singapore, the company intends to restructure and reduce staff by approximately 70 people. The publisher reassessed the division’s future role and its involvement in upcoming projects in an effort to make the studio more sustainable over the long term.
