Third Trailer Released for The Apothecary Diaries Anime Film

A new video introduces the sea raiders that Maomao and Loulan will encounter.

TOHO animation has released the third character trailer for the anime film The Apothecary Diaries: The Treasure of the Late Consort. This latest video focuses on the Kajadан pirate group, whose members are searching for the treasure of their leader who died a year ago.

The pirates are now led by the deceased leader’s son, voiced by Kensho Ono. The role of his loyal subordinate went to Ryota Takeuchi, while the former leader is voiced by Jiro Saito. The trailer also features the former leader’s daughter, though her voice actor has not yet been announced.

According to the story, Maomao and Loulan travel to the southern province of Bi’nan to fulfill the final wishes of a deceased consort and investigate why her body did not decompose even five years after her death. It is there that the characters cross paths with the pirates.

The Japanese premiere of The Apothecary Diaries: The Treasure of the Late Consort is scheduled for December 11, 2026. Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment will handle international distribution, but release dates outside of Japan have not yet been announced.
