As the 2026 FIFA World Cup nears, SiriusXM is amping up the excitement by giving football fans a unique glimpse into the pre-match soundtracks of their favorite stars. Beyond their standard live match coverage, the network has recruited several members of the U.S. Men’s National Team to curate exclusive DJ sets, offering a personal look at the music that keeps them motivated on and off the pitch.
Beyond simply spinning tracks, the players are offering commentary on why these specific songs resonate with them, providing fans with anecdotes from their professional journeys. Goalkeepers Matt Turner and Matt Freese are leading the charge; Turner’s selections will feature on The Heat (ch. 46), spotlighting artists such as Drake, Kendrick Lamar, SZA, Tems, Justin Bieber, and John Summit.
The lineup extends across the roster: defender Mark McKenzie will take over Hip-Hop Nation (ch. 44) with tracks from Jaz Donell and Koffee, while teammate Miles Robinson brings a diverse selection of Jay-Z, Frank Ocean, J. Cole, Burna Boy, Ye, and Chance the Rapper to the same station. Columbus Crew standout Max Arfsten is also slated to join the festivities.
The international influence is equally strong, with Portland Timbers defender Finn Surman curating a vibe on 10s Spot (ch. 11) that includes Tame Impala, Nelly Furtado, and Rihanna. For fans of heavier sounds, soccer legend Eric Wynalda—a veteran of the 1990 and 1994 World Cups—is bringing a metal edge to Ozzy’s Boneyard (ch. 38) with classics from Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, and AC/DC. Former pro and analyst Alexi Lalas will also be making an appearance.
The collaboration continues with global stars like Ecuador’s Leonardo Campana and Paraguay’s Miguel Almiron, who will host DJ sets on Caliente (ch. 152). Additional appearances from talents including Emil Forsberg, Kamal Miller, and Derrick Etienne Jr. are expected throughout the tournament schedule.
SiriusXM remains the definitive audio destination for the tournament, providing English-language broadcasts for all 104 matches via FOX Sports. Primary coverage will air on Fox Sports on SiriusXM (ch. 83), with overflow matches relegated to SiriusXM FC (ch. 157).
The tournament kicks off this Thursday, June 11, with the U.S. Men’s National Team launching their campaign against Paraguay on Friday, June 12, at 9 p.m. ET. Listeners can also tune into SiriusXM FC for 24/7 analysis and daily tournament updates leading up to the Final on July 19.
