Two males have been arrested in reference to the attack of “Empire” star Jussie Smollett that occurred in Chicago final month, TMZ and The Associated Press report. According to The AP, the lads, who “police consider… to be suspects in the attack,” usually are not presently going through prison costs. According to TMZ, the lads are two brothers from Nigeria named Olabinjo and Abimbola Osundairo. Pitchfork has contacted representatives for the Chicago Police Department.

Jussie Smollet was attacked in Chicago on January 29. Following the assault, the actor’s household launched a press release, calling the incident an “inhumane act of domestic terrorism.” In his own statement, issued in February, Smollett mentioned, “I still believe that justice will be served.” He continued, “As my family stated, these types of cowardly attacks are happening to my sisters, brothers, and non-gender conforming siblings daily. I am not and should not be looked upon as an isolated incident.”

Earlier this week, Smollett mentioned the assault on “Good Morning America,” stating, “I’m pissed off. It’s the attackers, but it’s also the attacks.”
