Trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie to debut this month — insider

Next spring, audiences will return to the Mushroom Kingdom in a new animated film inspired by Super Mario Galaxy.

Insider MyTimeToShineHello claims the first trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie will arrive this November. They say the clip is “already finished” and will be screened alongside the musical “Wicked: Part 2”, which is slated to premiere on November 21. Typically, such trailers are uploaded online a few days before their theatrical showing.

Nintendo and Illumination officially unveiled The Super Mario Galaxy Movie during a Nintendo Direct presentation in September 2025. The film is intended as a direct follow-up to the hit The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023) and will draw from the Super Mario Galaxy subseries.

Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic have returned to direct, with Matt Vogel once again handling the screenplay. The cast is also reuniting, including Chris Pratt (Mario), Anya Taylor-Joy (Princess Peach), Charlie Day (Luigi), Jack Black (Bowser), Keegan-Michael Key (Toad), and others.

Nintendo previously confirmed the film’s release dates: April 3, 2026 in the United States and April 24, 2026 in Japan.
