Music followers voted in a ballot revealed Friday (Oct. 28) on Billboard, selecting the pop icon’s re-recorded album as their favourite new music launch of the previous week.
1989 (Taylor’s Version) coincidentally introduced in 89% of the vote, beating out new music from Brent Faiyaz, David Guetta and extra.
Swift, who’s reclaiming her music catalog, launched the extremely anticipated 2023 re-recording of her hit 1989 album, which initially arrived in 2014. 1989 (Taylor’s Version) offered over 250,000 copies within the U.S. on its first day of launch, according to initial reports to knowledge monitoring agency Luminate.
