BTS to Push “Normal” as Follow-Up Single from Chart-Topping Album ‘ARIRANG’

Following the massive success of their latest lead single, “SWIM,” global superstars BTS are ready to keep the momentum going. The group is set to promote “Normal,” the second single from their critically acclaimed and chart-topping album ARIRANG, to pop radio stations nationwide.
Interscope/Capitol Records plans to officially launch the promotional campaign for “Normal” during the week of July 27.
“Normal,” which serves as the ninth track on the ARIRANG LP, arrives on the heels of “SWIM.” That previous release made an explosive debut, securing the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time ARIRANG captured the top position on the Billboard 200 back in April. Both milestones marked the seventh time the septet has dominated the peak of these respective charts.
Throughout its chart run, “SWIM” demonstrated remarkable reach, climbing to No. 11 on the Pop Airplay chart and No. 14 on Adult Pop Airplay. It also achieved a career-best peak of No. 16 on the Adult Contemporary chart and made a significant impact on Rhythmic Airplay, landing at No. 30. Furthermore, the track hit No. 18 on the all-format Radio Songs chart, cementing its place as the fourth-highest radio entry in the group’s history, joining hits like “Dynamite,” “Butter,” and their Coldplay collaboration, “My Universe.”
BTS’s ongoing promotional push for ARIRANG continues alongside their record-breaking World Tour. Billboard Boxscore reports that the tour has already generated $127.8 million in revenue, selling over 641,000 tickets across 12 shows during the month of May alone. By early spring, the tour had already crossed the $75 million threshold, reinforcing their status as the industry’s most successful touring act.
Looking ahead, the members of BTS are preparing for a major performance on Sunday, July 19, at MetLife Stadium. They are set to co-headline the inaugural FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show alongside icons including Justin Bieber, Madonna, and Shakira. The event will serve as a high-profile showcase in support of the Global Citizen Education Fund, which is dedicated to expanding educational and athletic opportunities across the globe.
