The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is Coming to Nintendo Switch 2

Wrapping up its latest Direct presentation with a flourish, Nintendo confirmed a slate of Bethesda titles destined for the Switch 2. Among the highlights were release windows for Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. However, the show-stopper was the revelation that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is finally making its way to the console—representing the first time the legendary RPG has ever appeared on a Nintendo platform.

Though labeled a remaster upon its initial launch in April 2025, the project functions more as a comprehensive remake. The 2006 classic has been meticulously reconstructed within Unreal Engine 5, boasting a completely overhauled user interface and significant gameplay refinements. Players can expect modernized hit detection and enhanced environmental effects. Furthermore, this edition arrives as a complete package, featuring both the Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles expansions.

Fans won’t have to wait long to close the jaws of Oblivion on the go; The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is scheduled to arrive on the Switch 2 later this year.
