A surprise prequel episode of the hit series “The Bear” has been released and is now available to stream on Hulu.
The special installment, titled “Gary,” delves into the backstory of brothers Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) and Mikey Berzatto (Jon Bernthal) prior to the events of the main show. The narrative follows the pair as they journey to Gary, Indiana, at the behest of a relative (Oliver Platt), offering viewers fresh insight into their complex relationship.
Moss-Bachrach and Bernthal also co-wrote the episode, with “The Bear” creator Christopher Storer taking on directing duties. The fifth and final season of the acclaimed culinary dramedy is slated to premiere this summer on FX and Hulu.
