This year’s theme is “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” with co-chairs A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, Colman Domingo, Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton and host Anna Wintour announcing in February that the accompanying guideline for how guests should arrive for the star-studded event will be “Tailored for You.” NBA legend LeBron James will also serve as this year’s honorary chair.

An accompanying Vogue Instagram post sharing the news, said the menswear-focused guideline is “purposefully designed to provide guidance and invite creative interpretation.” This year’s gala will accompany the “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, which seeks to explore “the role of sartorial style in forming Black identities, focusing on the emergence, significance and proliferation of the Black dandy”; the exhibit will be on view at the Met from May 10 until Oct. 26.

The Met’s 2025 costume institute benefit host committee includes: musicians Usher, Doechii, André 3000, Janelle Monáe and Tyla, as well as gymnast Simone Biles, The Bear star Ayo Edebiri, actress Regina King, the WNBA’s Angel Reese and more.
