Teddy Swims Tapped to Headline Super Bowl LX Tailgate Concert

The road to Super Bowl LX just got a lot more soulful. On Wednesday, Jan. 28, the NFL announced that Grammy-nominated sensation Teddy Swims will headline the official Super Bowl LX Tailgate Concert. Presented by NetApp, the high-energy pregame event is scheduled to livestream on Peacock at 3:50 p.m. ET on game day, February 8.

The “Lose Control” singer will take the stage in the expansive Tailgate Party zone located just outside Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. While the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots prepare to clash on the field, Swims will be warming up the crowd. In addition to the Peacock stream, the performance will be broadcast across 120 iHeart stations nationwide and via the iHeartRadio app.

“The Super Bowl is one of those iconic events I grew up watching with my father and brothers; it’s a stage I’ve always dreamed of,” Swims expressed in a press release. “Coming from a family where football was a way of life, the Super Bowl was our time to come together. It’s a massive honor to be part of the festivities and help kick off the biggest game of the year.”

Joining the lineup is Bay Area native LaRussell. The independent rapper is set to open for Swims and will also pull double duty as the in-stadium house band throughout the game. “Music has granted me opportunities beyond my wildest imagination, and the Super Bowl is certainly a pinnacle,” LaRussell remarked, noting how meaningful it is to participate in such a milestone event in his hometown.

The Tailgate Concert has a storied history of elite performers, with Swims joining the ranks of past headliners like Miley Cyrus, The Black Keys, Gwen Stefani, and Post Malone.

This pregame show is just one highlight of a star-studded musical roster for Super Bowl LX. The day begins with an opening ceremony featuring Green Day, followed by the highly anticipated Apple Music Halftime Show headlined by Bad Bunny. The patriotic proceedings will feature Charlie Puth performing the National Anthem, Brandi Carlile singing “America the Beautiful,” and Coco Jones delivering a rendition of the Black National Anthem, “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”
